Adoption Process
OV's Path Forward was created by residents and must be approved by residents. It was created by many residents coming together to create a plan that reflects the collective community’s values, priorities and expectations for the Town’s future. Over the past two years, residents provided over 10,700 comments at pop-up events, public meetings, surveys and online forums. Great care was taken to balance varying perspectives and needs of a diverse population. If approved, it will serve as the Town’s general plan, providing the framework guiding decisions for the next 10 years.
The first steps in the adoption process were public hearings with the Planning and Zoning Commission and the Town Council. Click the links below to view the meeting videos.
- April 7 - Planning and Zoning Commission Public Hearing: No action taken. The plan was presented for information and discussion only.
- April 14 - Planning and Zoning Commission Public Hearing: The Commission recommended adoption to the Town Council.
- May 6 - Town Council Public Hearing: The Town Council adopted the plan.
The final step in the adoption process is resident approval. The plan will be placed on the November 3, 2026, ballot for your consideration. |
