The resident-driven effort to create the Community Engagement Plan for OV's Path Forward was recognized for Best Public Outreach. It was created by a resident advisory group, who incorporated feedback from a Town-wide survey. It establishes the tools and methods necessary to ensure the process to create OV's Path Forward is transparent, convenient, inclusive, and meaningful.
The substantial number of contributions made on OVPathForward.com during Phase 1: "Let's Talk." won the Granicus Community Engagement Award. Granicus is a global leader in customer experience technologies and services for government entities with over 6,000 public sector customers. This award highlights residents’ commitment to shaping OV’s future.
The Town of Oro Valley, along with Gordley Group, were recognized by the PRSA of Southern Arizona for OV’s Path Forward branding and engagement strategy. A resident advisory group met multiple times to help create the brand, which includes the plan's name, logo, color palette, and more.
